Co-existance with Egyptians and the Nile

There were many advantages that happened between the Egyptians and the Nile. One advantage for the Egyptians having the Nile River nearby was that it was easier to get food. There's always fish in the Nile River to eat and they could always be sure that the fish was there. They could also water plants to eat with the water from the Nile because they had learned hoe to farm because of having water!. The river probably attracted thirsty animals as well. Another good thing about having the river was transportation. Most cities were on the Nile because they needed water, so the Egyptians could just boat from city to city. The Nile helped a lot with so many things. Families started moving together and growing their own food instead of having to follow it and that made communities which soon turned into cities! The cities formed governments and people got jobs and money. There were so many great advantages that came from the Nile river!

Why do people decide to be come vegetarian?

People decide to become vegetarian for several different reasons. One reason that people decide to do it is because they try to be cool. Vegetarianism became a popular trend last year and many kids decided to do it. Although many people only did it so people would think they're cool, many people did it because what they do to the animals is wrong. The cruel people that slaughter and hurt the animals do it so brutally. Slaughtering live animals and fattening chickens until they can't hold themselves up and getting their beaks sliced off. Cows getting separated from their mothers less than 24 hours of being born. Peta investigators found someone slicing off live bird heads and using the blood for graffiti. This is so wrong, I know people will always eat meat and kill animals, but a lot of this is pointless. I am very proud for the people who realize this is wrong and have cut meat out of their diet. How would you like this to happen to you? If you'd like to check out this booklet to learn more, click HERE.

Puppy Mills

I was just looking at this website, which is a website for fighting animal cruelty. While I was on it, I noticed this article about puppy mills and read it. A puppy mill is place where they breed puppies, but they use all the money they get from it for themselves, instead of using the money to keep the dogs healthy. The breeding at puppy mills are performed without caring for the dogs, and many of them get heredity defects. Later, these dogs are often sold to pet shops. in puppy mills, many dogs are usually squished into a small, dirty cage, which is way to small for them to live in. They don't get treats, toys, exercise or grooming and their cages have wire floors that hurt their legs and paws. If you are a person who cares a lot for animals, and are maybe a vegetarian or vegan, i think this would be a good website that would interest you. The entire idea of hurting and not caring for living animals, just to get money is horrible, and i completely disagree with it. A way to fight against is, is to not buy dogs from pet store, or any dogs from somewhere that you can't see it's entire facility and meet the mother dog.

Vegetarianism

As part of Team 3, I am excited to be blogging this year on the topic of co-existence. I can notice a lot of co-existence, being a vegetarian. I've been vegetarian for a year now, since August 30, 2008. There is a BIG problem with co-existence between people and the animals. I'm sure the animals are NOT happy with people hunting, abusing, killing and eating them, and I know people aren't happy with not eating meat, even though it's not near as bad as it is for the animals. Everyone has their different opinions, and I respect that, I just wish we wouldn't put other lives in danger. Poor, little pigs, cows, chickens and other animals are mothers, fathers, and children. I just think people should think about being in the animal's position and realize how wrong it is, it'd really make a difference. I just wish that'd people understand.
